Breastfeeding videos

Global Health Media has a series of breastfeeding videos that are helpful and free to watch. First Droplets by Dr. Jane Morton, MD has many created many educational videos including: hand expression of colostrum, pumping, breastfeeding a premature infant and more!

Additional lactation videos

  • Lymphatic Drainage technique for relieving breast edema during pregnancy and lactation demonstrated by Dr. Katrina Mitchell, MD, IBCLC

  • Reverse Pressure Softening technique to alleviate edema and engorgement and help baby latch.

  • Mastitis Spectrum handout (including engorgement treatment)

  • Breast Massage and Hand Expression demonstrated by Maya Bolman, RN, IBCLC and Dr. Ann Witt, MD, FABM, IBCLC. Important: If your breasts are engorged, see the handout mentioned above and avoid the kneading technique shown. Instead use the gentle sweeping and tapping techniques. Aggressively massaging by hand or with a vibrating tool swollen, hard breasts can result in damage to the delicate milk ducts.

  • Medications and Lactation and Over-The-Counter Medications most medications are compatible with lactation.
